The Les Dames of the Hawaii chapter enjoyed a two day tour of Big Island Farms organized by Joan Namkoong. Les Dames d’Escoffier is a world wide philanthropic society of professional women leaders in the fields of food, fine beverage and hospitality. Lesley Hill, co-owner of WAG, is a Les Dames member.

Even though it was a rainy day everyone was smiling as they toured the farm and tasted a variety of items such as fresh Cinnamon leaves (pictured here) and numerous tropical fruits. They also got to see the Fresh Hawaiian Heart of Palm being harvested and then tasted the freshly chopped sweet, crunchy slices.
